John Lawrie Tubulars High Capacity EndFormed Connection System – the next generation of driven pipe piling connection solutions

John Lawrie Tubulars introduces the high-capacity version of the new Endformed Pipe Pile Extension. The addition of a welded sleeve to the outside of the endformed extension increases the connection capacity. The sleeved version underwent the same four-step design, testing and structural engineering approach used for the base endformed pipe pile extension. The patent pending Endformed Sleeved Extension is a more cost effective connection technology producing higher capacities than currently available systems.

The Benefits of the Endformed Sleeved Pipe Pile Extension

In addition to the benefits of the basic pipe pile extensions.

  • Sleeving increases the capacity of the extended pile in both compression and tension load resistance by as much as 15-25%

  • The additional cost of adding the sleeve is more cost effective than increasing the diameter or wall thickness of the pipe pile to achieve the higher load capacity.

  • The sleeve location can be adjusted to pre-select the amount of secondary forming and compressive/tensile capacity that the pile will achieve relative to the hammer energy applied.

  • Compression and Tension capacities are relative to the hammer energy applied to the pile allowing pile capacity to be tuned specifically for the application.
